Moving towards completion

The Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick, near Birmingham, is moving toward completion, with an official opening in October 2024.

We are very excited about it as this is one of the first New Hospital Programme (NHP) hospitals to be completed, and is going to be the largest emergency centre in Europe.

Diagnostic equipment is being installed and the main contractor Balfour Beatty is moving towards practical completion, assisting the fit out being completed. Some departments are already starting to move into their new premises.
